Privacy policy
I Bet On Me helps you stop gambling. What you share with it is personal, so the rule is simple: your data stays on your phone. We don't have a server, an account system or analytics. We can't see your answers, your streak or your money, and we don't want to.
What the app keeps, and where
To work, the app keeps on your iPhone:
- your answers from the first questions (what you bet on, how often, your triggers, your reasons),
- your first name and the way you want to be addressed, if you gave them,
- your streak, the money you kept, your daily check-ins and the bets you logged,
- your missions and what you wrote in them,
- the person you chose to be in your corner: their name and phone number, only if you picked them.
This stays in the app's private storage on your phone. It is not sent to us or to anyone else. Like all apps, it is included in your iPhone backups (iCloud or your computer) if you have backups turned on.
What we never collect
- No account, email or password.
- No analytics, advertising trackers or third-party code that sends data.
- No location.
- No access to your contacts list. When you choose your person, iOS shows you its own picker and gives the app only the one contact you tap.
- No payment details. Purchases go through Apple; we receive no card or bank information.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Apple tells the app on your phone whether you are subscribed, nothing more. Apple's own privacy policy covers the purchase itself.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules them on your phone (for example, a reminder before your free trial ends). They never contain your name or any word about betting, because they can appear on your lock screen.
Blocking (when available)
Blocking betting apps and websites uses Apple's Screen Time framework. With it, iOS applies the blocks on your phone. The app does not see which apps you use, which websites you visit or your browsing history.
Helplines
When you tap Call or Text on a helpline, your phone calls or messages that service directly. The app doesn't record it.
Deleting your data
Settings > Delete all my data erases everything the app keeps on your phone. Deleting the app does the same. This doesn't cancel a subscription: you manage that in your iPhone Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
Children
The app is meant for adults. It is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above. If the app ever needed to send data off your phone, we would say so here first, and in the app.
